Firm Profile
Oakley Moran is a small general firm of highly experienced practitioners with particular emphasis in areas of employment, local government, civil litigation, and property work.
The clientele of Oakley Moran reflects the historical emphasis of previous partnerships on employment, local
government, and property work. Our expertise and interests reflect that emphasis. Our ethic is one of public service and of promoting public interests.
Firm History
Oakley Moran is the successor to a series of Lower Hutt and Wellington legal practices whose origins can be
traced back over 100 years. The present firm has its origins in the merger in January 1986 of the former firms of Hogg, Gillespie, Carter, and Oakley (who practiced both at Lower Hutt and Wellington) and Goddard, Moran, and Finlayson (who practiced in Wellington). The present firm was formed on 1 April 2018.
